Married
I love seeing lives transformed step by step and healing/forgiveness experienced.
I am Joshua Lukenge, I am born again, I love young people, I love cooking, farming, traveling and hanging out with friends. I am married with two children. I love to mentor and disciples young people giving them a chance to be their best, believing in them and seeing them take up the opportunities around them.
Growing up in a Christian family shaped my desire to follow God and maintain a close relationship with Him. Initially, I believed that performing good deeds was the key to receiving blessings and securing my place in heaven. This belief led me to respond to numerous altar calls in an attempt to reaffirm my commitment to God. However, in 2012, my perspective shifted when I began attending a church that emphasized the importance of Christ's sacrifice rather than our own actions. Through this, I came to understand that salvation is not earned through repeated commitments or good deeds, but rather through faith in Christ alone. This realization brought me a newfound sense of assurance in my salvation. Though my desire to please God remains strong, it is no longer driven by the expectation of receiving blessings in return. Instead, it is rooted in my love for Him, motivating me to serve, obey, and glorify Him in all that I do.
I joined LMU just after my graduation from university, where I had served as a student team leader for two years.
It was in my last year as a leader at campus, that the then Student Led Movement (SLM) Team Leader (TL) and National Team Leader (NTL) challenged me separately to consider giving all my time forward to serving God.
After my last mission as a student leader, my mum got a fatal accident and while nursing her, LMU gave me a call to facilitate in a student leaders conference where the Lord spoke loudly to me one night and confirmed His call for me to serve Him. I picked papers from LMU and I was interviewed, then later accepted and here I am.
