Very married
I am particularly excited about initiating and launching ministry in areas( target area or audience) where there has been little or no ministry previously. As a field staff, I enjoy meeting people sharing Christ with them, walking with them on the new journey and helping them to grow in their faith and challenging them to reach out to others in their areas of influence. I love sharing about and helping people to know about LMU and how they can be part of it.
I am 72 years old. I have shared 48 of those with my dear husband and partner in ministry. God has blessed us with 6 biological children and when we were serving in Zimbabwe in 1999, God added to our family an adopted son. Four of our children are married and they have so far added to our family 10 grandchildren, making me a joyful grandmother! I love God and I love people. High on my spiritual gifts is hospitality, service and evangelism.
I was born and raised in a Christian family. Both my parents were born again believers and ministers in the church. They raised me and my siblings under that strict Christian environment. I was actively involved in many church activities. At home we read and studied the bible regularly, we held fellowship and prayers as a family. I learned so much about the bible that in my senior two I worn the National Bible Quiz. I attended Church based primary schools, went to a missionary founded secondary school and was very active in bible study and fellowship.
All this while I thought I was a believer, until one fellowship evening, the speaker shared something that overturned everything I was confident about. He said that one can be a good person, know so much about the bible and God, but as longer as that person has never invited Jesus Christ in their life to be Lord and Saviour, that person has no personal relationship with God. That is exactly where I was, yes, knew the bible well, memorised scriptures and all, was active in Christian activities, BUT I had never asked Jesus to be Lord of my life. The speaker then explained how to invite Jesus in one’s life and that day I prayed and asked Jesus to be Lord of my life.
In the late eighties, both my husband and I sensed the Lord calling us to serve Him in full time ministry. As we prayed about this, we got to learn that LIFE Ministry provides a unique platform to minister across denominational barriers. In 1990, we both applied to join the ministry and completed our training in 1991, and we have been serving the Lord as fulltime missionary staff of this organisation since then. Since I joined the ministry, God has allowed me to serve in several leadership responsibilities both inside and outside Uganda. I count it a great privilege to serve my Lord on this global platform.
