Mid 1981 a LMU team visited us in Entebbe and shared how LIFE Ministry was planning to do an evangelistic mission in Entebbe and challenged us to be their contact in mobilizing the Churches in Entebbe, which we accepted and 3 Churches that is St. Marks Parish Church Entebbe, St. John Church Entebbe and Entebbe Deliverance Church joined together and agreed with LIFE Ministry Uganda for a training in November 1981 to equip participants from the 3 Churches for one week of training (Lay Training Institute “LTI”) in sharing their faith by using the 4 Laws and how to do follow up to those who received Christ. During the training many participants confessed Christ as their Lord and savior.
After the training, there was the one on one and door to door Evangelistic week code named “I Found It, You can Find It too or Nazuula Nawe Oyinza Okuzuula”. There were many people who gave their lives to Christ, and many are still standing and in full time ministry at different levels.
The mobilization period of the 3 Churches to join and be trained together to do an impactful evangelistic ministry, the exposure to impactful tools of evangelism and follow up, the one on one and door to door evangelism, the weeks that followed to manage the generated field ministry did raise many questions in our lives, plus the growing attachment to LIFE Ministry staff team all helped us as we started 1982 we resolved to be part of this great movement of sharing our faith.
Finally, when we were challenged to join LMU we both gave a positive response and in April 1982 we did the staff interview and we were admitted for the staff training at the Nairobi Great Commission Training Center, that followed our resignations from our previous employers, for me from the 12 years as a Government Civil servant with the Department of Meteorological and Norah with Kampala City Council.
Since that time we have never looked behind instead we have continued to resolved to move on and on.
