I was born in a big polygamous family, we were religious (both catholic and Anglican). My mother introduced me to an Anglican church were I was baptized and put in a Sunday school.
While in Sunday school I was taught about Jesus who loved little children but was killed by bad men.
And I was taught that he died for our sins, this didn’t make sense to me. All I needed was to know how I could become a good girl. When I looked at the catholic Nuns to me they were good girls so I wanted to be one when I grew up.
It was until I met one of my teachers who was loving and caring and I wanted to be like her when I grew up. I discovered she was born again. I began to ask what that meant.
One mission Sunday in my local church which my mother had introduced me to, the Gospel was preached.
The Message was; Today is the day of your salvation.
When the alter call was made, I was among the many people who walked forward to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. I was 13yrs old in my primary seven.
I was followed up by people who loved me, they taught me how to read the Bible and pray, to share my testimony and tell other people about Jesus.
I came to know about LIFE Ministry Uganda(LMU) when a Team of staff came to open an office in Jinja. It was then called MPTA: MILLION TARGET POPULATION AREA.
This team visited my local church, St Andrew’s church Jinja. They later settled in as part of the church congregation and they join our church missions team.
They showed the Jesus Film during missions in all villages in Jinja district and beyond. One young man was very zealous, David Wataba, he helped me to know more about LIFE Ministry Uganda.
We later become friends which led to marriage in 1996. David challenged me to consider joining LIFE ministry Uganda as a full time staff.
I did interviews, was selected and went for GCTC in Nairobi in 1996.
And I have been a missionary staff since 1996 up to date. I have served in different strategies since then.
